The Pamela Trokanski Dance Theatre is a
post-modern, contemporary dance company based in
Davis, California. Since its first concert in spring 1985,
the PTDT has presented fall and spring concerts each
year, in addition to performances throughout Northern
California, including Sacramento, San Francisco and
Nevada City.
As both a community outreach and a commitment to
building artistic literacy in the art form, the PTDT also
presents lecture/demonstrations for both elementary
school audiences and the community. "Everything You
Always Wanted To Know About Dance (but were afraid to
ask), Athleticism and Dance," and "The Art of Dancing
Art," have been funded, at various times, by the City of
Davis' Arts Contract program, US Bank, Davis Waste
Removal, the Dance Workshop, and the PTDT. These
programs have provided movement education to
"standing room only" audiences since 1994.

Pamela is always on the look out for dancers, volunteers
are always welcome, as are working board members,
and since the PTDT is a 501c3, non-profit organization,
you can also make tax deductible donations that help
support our performance season.
Company requirements?
You are an Intemediate/Advanced level in contemporary
dance. Company dancers take a minimum of three
classes a week at the Dance Workshop, including both
high level contemporary classes and a ballet or jazz
class, and attend Sunday rehearsals. Dancers commit
for the full season, running from September 11, 2010 -
June 5, 2011.
